Eat & Drink

Favorite high-end restaurant:

Le Voltaire
27 Quai Voltaire
I love this restaurant because of the true French cuisine made by Mr. Picot. The place is a warm luxurious brasserie. Lee Radziwill has her own table! Very rive gauche!

Best deal restaurant:

Chartier
7 rue du Faubourg Montmartre
No reservations, I love this restaurant because it is a true French brasserie. The space in amazing. Waiters may be rude but it is a part of the scene.

Best street food:

L’as du Falafel
34 rue des Rosiers
L’as du Falafel is located in the Jewish area of Paris. The best falafel in town!

Favorite cafe:

Café de Flore
172 boulevard Saint Germain
I like the art deco style of the café. You sit there for hours, smoking, and staring at people who are walking. You are sure to meet everyone—from people in fashion, design to film!

Best place to work on laptop with free wi-fi:

Colette
213 rue Saint Honoré
The water bar at Colette. They have an amazing selection of water; it is very quiet in the afternoon, perfect for focusing.

Best bar:

Mathis Bar
rue de Ponthieu
Run by Gerald Nanty, a very small bar where lots of celebrities go. You need to be introduced to get in—they refused entrance to Madonna!

Best place to dance:

La Java 105
rue du Faubourg Saint Denis
Located in Belleville, La Java is a historic club where Edith Piaf once sung. It hosts themed nights like the Androgyny party and the Furie party

Read

Best bookstore:

La’ Hune and L’ Écume des pages
170 Boulevard Saint Germain
You can find amazing art books at the La’ Hune. The bookstore was created by Karl Lagerfeld. Artists like André Breton and Henri Michaux have come here to leaf through their books.

Best magazine stand:

Agora Presse
19 rue des Archives
Gay-friendly publications a wide selection of fashion and international magazines.

Best boutique:

La Grande Epicerie
38 rue de Sèvres, 75007
The largest food store in Paris, you can find all things French and a great selection of fresh produce.

Kitsune Boutique (Of course!)
52 rue de Richelieu

Colette
213 rue Saint Honoré
The one and only!

Sightsee

Favorite art space/gallery/museum:

Galerie Emmanuel Perrotin
76 rue Turenne
Galerie Perrotin also has a Miami flagship. It hosts some of the most exciting exhibitions on both sides of the Atlantic.

Favorite outdoor space:

Le Parc de Saint Cloud, Saint Cloud.
It is a little bit outside from Paris. It’s beautiful and used to be a garden of the castle of the King of France, but the castle burned down during the French Revolution.

Only local does or knows about:

ELEGANCE IS NOT A MATTER OF LOOKS, BUT A MATTER OF ATTITUDE!
