Age: immortal

Brief bio, occupation: I’m Shrimpie, the smallest and youngest member of the Amsterdam Clubkids. I’m still in high school and I work for the famous art director Joey Elgersma. I live in Paris three months out of the year, Mom & Dad have the best Thai restaurant and I love to d.a.n.c.e!

How long you’ve lived in your city: I live in Paris three months out of the year with my big sister of the Amsterdam Clubkids, Cherr du Perr.

Eat & Drink

Favorite high-end restaurant:

Place Georges
Pompidou 19, rue Beaubourg
Georges, I love that place. There’s a great view and it’s owned by the famous Costes family. It’s on the 6th floor of Centre Pompidou. The place looks like a hip ass minimalist loft and it serves Asian-French food. The view is soooo romantic. You can see the Eiffel Tower which is beautiful at night. If you have a date & you can spend a little money go there. Success guaranteed!

Blue Elephant
43-45 rue de la Roquette
And of course the Thai restaurant run by my uncle.

Best deal restaurant:

Baxo
21, rue Juliette Dodu
Baxo is a lounge bar. Nothing really fancy, just a cool place to chill on the couch while you eat their great pumpkin soup.

Best street food:

Quick serves hamburgers and Belgian-style fries. It’s at every corner in Paris like a cheap ass McDonald’s.

Best bar:

Le Paris Paris
5 avenue de l’Opera
I love the small ex-strip joint called Le Paris Paris. The famous neon one liner: Le monde est a toi means The World Is Yours.

Maxim’s
3 rue Royale
I also like to go to Maxim’s but the doorman is always pissing me off because my age. I hate the guy.

Best bookstore:

Bretano’s
37 avenue de l’Opera
I don’t really have a favorite bookstore but most of the time I go to Bretano’s. I’m learning English and Brentano’s is the oldest American bookstore in Paris. I just love it there. They have everything.

Best magazine stand:

Anywhere you can buy French Vogue, Numero or WAD magazine.

Shop

Best boutique:

Wow, there are so many beautiful boutiques in Paris. Everybody should see the Martin Margiela and Rick Owens stores. They look insane.

Martin Margiela
13 rue de Grenelle

Rick Owens
130-133 Galerie de Valois.

If you are a shoefreak you should go to Saint Germain. The streets that make Saint Germain worth the journey are rue Grenelle and rue du Cherche-midi. Here you’ll find the best shoes and accessories from my favorite designers including Christian Louboutin, Sergio Rossi.

Events

Best events in each season?

The shows during Paris Fashion week. Every season I like to go. This month we are going to the shows of Jean Charles de Castelbajac and Viktor & Rolf. We’re actually doing a show for CPH (Copenhagen) Fashion Week!

Tips

How would you spend a day off in your city?

Having fun with the Clubkids. Saying hi to our friends at WAD Magazine. Eat a sorbet at Berthillon. Buying some new gear at Kokon or Zai. Going to Les Galleries Lafayette, buying some art at Montmartre. Eating at Mc Donald’s or at my family’s Thai restaurant & going to a party where the Ed Banger crew is playing.

Best website for local info:

Laperolog
The coolest Parisian blog.
