I know Ming Tsai is on another cable channel, but perhaps the producers and show runners at TFN could do their part and feature an Asian face to cook Asian food...? Sounds reasonable, no? “We LOVE Asian food. We just don’t like Asian people.” Thanks Food Network. Anthony Bourdain’s is the best show on your network...oh, wait, that’s on the Travel Channel. Hah!

Yes, the Food Network is racist! As you said, they don’t have any Asian chefs, nor do they have any Mexican chefs. But they always show Mexican food, usually under the guise of “Latin” food cooked by someone from the Caribbean. I’m sick of it.
I remember watching “The Next Food Network Star” and the assignment was to make food that would be sold at half time during a Pennsylvania football game. Amy Finley made quesadillas, which quickly sold out.
But judge Susie Fogelson told her that quesadillas were inappropriate for Pennsylvania, that they were a “regional” food. I couldn’t believe it. Does she really think that people in PA don’t eat quesadillas?
I want to see a Mexican food show with a chef of Mexican descent doing the cooking.
Food Network=Racist
I was just thinking that last night. I saw on Hulu the premiere of this season’s Next Food Network Star, and one of the contestants is of Mexican descent (Susie Jiminez) and she cooked something French-inspired because, well, she described herself as someone with diverse tastes, who likes to cook everything from Mexican food to French to sushi. Me? I thought that was awesome. They told her, however, some crap about ‘sticking to her roots’ (paraphrase), and mentioned something about having Latin/Mexican cuisine “In her bones. . .” and I’m sorry, if she loves cooking diverse food, THATS whats in her bones. She doesn’t have to cook Mexican food just because she’s a Mexican.
Bubbles, I think your a racist.
@so sick of angry mexicans: You said it, not them! Take a good look at yourself!
Yeah I know it’s now Dec. 18th.
