Prestel is coming out with a new publication on Henry Darger and on Wednesday October 28th, you’ll have a chance to meet the writer of the new tome, Klaus Biesenbach (Klaus Biesenbach is chief curator of New York’s P.S.1 Contemporary Art Center). The book is an amazing document of how far reaching Darger’s work influences others. Biesenbach cites names people like Matthew Barney, Damien Hirst, Laurel Nakadate and Rineke Dijkstra it’s a very interesting take on Darger’s work in the greater context of contemporary art. Definitely worth a look if you like Darger’s works.
