One furniture trend that I don’t think will go away, particularly now that more than half of the world lives in cities, is “space-saving.” Along these lines, designer Serdar Sisman’s three-point stool folds completely flat and is intended to be cut from a single piece of wood. I’d love to run out to the store and take a look at one of these (mostly to inspect the points of joinery, as the hardware looks so minimal), but alas, it’s just a concept design.
